Millie Penny
Millie's love of dance began at the age of three and has shaped her life ever since. After growing up training in a wide range of styles, she went on to study professionally at two of the UK’s top Dance and Musical Theatre colleges, where she developed a strong technical foundation alongside performance and teaching skills.

Following her training, she performed professionally in hotels and venues across the UK and Europe before taking her career to sea as a dancer on cruise ships. During her time onboard, she progressed into leadership roles, becoming Dance Captain and later Install Director, where she was responsible for teaching full production shows to new casts and maintaining performance standards across ships.

Alongside her performance career, teaching has always been at the heart of what Millie does. She holds teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre Dance, and she is also a qualified Zumba instructor. Millie has many years of experience teaching both children and adults, from complete beginners to more experienced, professional dancers.

Millie's teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and focused on helping every dancer feel confident, comfortable, and proud of their progress — whether they’re stepping into a dance studio for the very first time or returning to dance after many years.

Millie is first aid trained and DBS checked, and holds a Level 3 Safeguarding Certificate.

Lucy Hurst
Lucy trained locally in Performing Arts alongside her academic A Levels. On realising it was her dream and goal to perform professionally, she auditioned and gained places at some of the prestigious dance colleges in London.

However, Lucy chose to continue her training independently and audition for work. Lucy gained her first professional job through the Poole Lighthouse in their Christmas Production of Peter Pan. Since then, Lucy has worked professionally for Warner Leisure Hotels, Costa Cruises, Saga Cruises and Ambassador Cruises as a Dancer, Dance Captain and Choreographer.
Lucy's other passion is teaching and in between contracts, Lucy has taught syllabus dance styles, including Jazz and Musical Theatre at various schools in Dorset, as well as being a qualified Pilates instructor. She has also worked in academic schools too, at Manorside Academy as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a SEND Department, and as a dance teacher for Primary Workshops for Schools.
Lucy is very excited to teach for Penny Lane Dance and with her performance experience she hopes to inspire those dancing for fun and those aspiring to take their dancing further!

Lucy is first aid trained and DBS checked.
